About the Doctors

Drs. Thomas B. Lefler and Bill B. Lefler work together to provide their patients with the highest quality of dental care available. We serve the residents of Hot Springs Village, Hot Springs, Jessieville, Fountain Lake, Mountain Pine, Owensville AR, Royal AR, and the surrounding area.

Thomas B. Lefler, D.M.D., F.A.C.P.

Dr. Thomas Lefler received his D.M.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1983 and completed a one-year AEGD Residency in 1984, as well as a two-year Prosthodontic residency between 1989 and 1991. He has been delivering the highest quality of dental care to his patients since 1983.

Dr. Tom served 23 years in the Army Dental Corps rising to the rank of Colonel. He served as clinician, mentor, Director of Residency Programs and has served and continues to serve as a consultant to several training programs. He has lectured and presented clinics locally, nationally and internationally.

He is active in the Hot Springs Village and Hot Springs communities and is a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He is a former Eagle Scout and Scout Leader for the Boys Scouts of America.

During his leisure time, Dr. Tom enjoys fishing and playing tennis and golf. He and his wife, Cynthia, have three children: Kelly, Amy and Bill.

Bill B. Lefler, D.D.S., F.A.C.P.

Dr. Bill Lefler has been practicing dentistry since 1956. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in December 1956. He received his D.D.S. training in Prosthodontics at Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 1966-1968.

Dr. Bill served 35 years in the Army Dental Corps rising to the rank of Major General. He served as clinician, mentor, commander, and 11 years as a general officer. His last assignment was Assistant Surgeon General and 20th Chief, Army Dental Corps. He has served as a consultant to the Army Surgeon General, Director of Prosthodontic Residency Program and lectured locally, nationally, and internationally.

Dr. Bill serves his community in many ways. He is currently the president of the Association of Army Dentistry (AAD), teaches a weekly Bible course called “The Omega Course” at the Village United Methodist Church, sings in the choir, and plays in the church band. He also serves as the Chairman Emeritus of the Arkansas Tobacco Settlement Commission and is an active community leader in Hot Springs Village.

He and his wife, Carolyn, have been married since 1955. They have three children: Tracey Salter, Dr. Tom Lefler and Dr. Mark Lefler, as well as eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
